Chamaerops is a genus of flowering plants in the family Arecaceae. The only currently fully accepted species is Chamaerops humilis, variously called European fan palm or the Mediterranean dwarf palm. It is one of the most cold-hardy palms and is used in landscaping in temperate climates

نور :
Light requirements: Bright light is preferred. Some sunlight and shade during the day is ideal, but not too much direct sun.
دما :
Water: During spring and summer water frequently keeping the soil moist. After this period allow the top soil to become slightly dry before watering again. The pot must allow water to drain well and the soil.
آبیاری :
Soil Required: A fast draining potting soil mix will suffice, using a peat and sand mix or peat and perlite.
رطوبت :
temperature : Average room temperatures are fine. This a cold hardy palm and will not have a problem in temperatures as low as 40ºF (4ºC).
خاک :
مخلوطی از دو قسمت خاک لوم با یک قسمت خاک پوسیده شده با شن بهترین خاک زهکش دار برای این گیاه است.
تعویض گلدان :
هر ساله در بهار تعویض گلدان برای گیاهان جوان لازم است. با مسن شدن گیاه در سالهای پنجم به بعد گیاه را به گلدان یا گل جا با قطر ۵۰ سانتیمتر انتقال دهید اما هر سال به تعویض خاک رویی نیازدارد.
